Teledyne KW Microwave maintains a complete machine shop with fully automated machining centers, CNC machines, Raytheon yag pulsed laser welder, Q-switched yag laser cutting machining and ancillary machining equipment. This allows Teledyne to control the design and production of our housings for R&D and production. With the laser cutter, Teledyne makes it’s own capacitors and substrates to specifications not routinely available from commercial sources. Teledyne maintains a cleanroom which meets FED-STD-209 specifications of 10,000 ppm for thermocompression bonding and assembly. Thermocompression Bonding and Assembly Station
Circuits are assembled using the latest techniques and equipment. Extensive use is made of welded ribbons and wirebonds eliminating as many solder joints as possible. A nondestructive band pull tester is used to assure the quality of the connection. The laser welder is a complete MIL-STD-883, level B closing system. A vacuum bakeout chamber is attached directly to the welder in an airlock chamber. After a 24-hour vacuum bake at 125 degrees C, the part is moved directly into the box with nitrogen atmosphere. The water vapor and oxygen content are continuously monitored. WARRANTY

Products manufactured by Teledyne KW Microwave Corporation are warranteed against defective materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment.

Teledyne KW Microwave's obligation for any defective component manufactured by Teledyne KW Microwave, is limited to repair of the defective part. The part must be returned prepaid, by the original purchaser.

The warranty does not apply to any product that has been improperly used modified, disassembled or subjected to operations above rated capacities. No other warranty is expressed or implied.

All parts returned to Teledyne KW Microwave must be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) prior to being received at Teledyne KW Microwave.
